Sounds like an odd fest doesn't it. Celebrating pumpkins. You almost think the Germans will have a fest for anything. You are right. The Pumpkin Fest consists of 2 great things-- sports figured made out of pumpkin and amazing food and drinks made of pumpkins.
Let us start with the food. Delicious pumpkin soup and paella. Well, I'm sure the Germans call paella something else. But that was what is was essentially. If ever given the chance, eat it. That's all.
Next to the displays of sports figures made of pumpkins. I don't know how they decide what to do. I'm not even sure why the do it. But it is fun.

I would go back. For the food alone. But I'll probably also tour the Ludwigsburg Palace at some point.
